Kioskian Self-Service Devices – Wireless Queue Management Solution
The queue ticketing system consists of queue management software, self-ticketing kiosks for customer use, call number devices at the service counter, and LCD or LED displays showing the queue information. In pre-built spaces, the entire system can be easily installed using wireless communication technology, simplifying the process. Kioskian utilizes 433MHz wireless communication modules to connect the various components within the system, enabling the IoT functionality of the devices.
Workflow:
Customers use the self-service kiosk to select their desired queue category on the screen and obtain a ticket. The kiosk then sends the ticket number via the 433MHz wireless module to the call number device, where it is temporarily stored. The staff member presses the call number device to announce the customer, and the number being called is wirelessly transmitted from the call device to the display screens, which show real-time queue information. The queue management software is installed on the ticketing kiosk, overseeing and coordinating the entire system’s operations.
Advantages:
The 433MHz frequency band offers long-range transmission and strong anti-interference capabilities, ensuring stable communication between devices within a specific range. The integration of IoT technology enables interconnectivity and data sharing between devices, enhancing the intelligence and automation of the queue system.
