1. The Beginning of the Journey: A Strategic Partnership

In 2019, Shanghai Wanghe Technology Co., Ltd., an international company with a subsidiary in Jakarta, Indonesia, undertook a significant project—providing self-service kiosks for various public services in Indonesia. With a team primarily composed of local Indonesian engineers, Shanghai Wanghe had deep insights into the Indonesian market and the specific needs of local customers. This project presented a major opportunity, as the Indonesian government was seeking a solution to streamline administrative tasks and enhance service efficiency.

After evaluating several ODM/OEM partners in China, Shanghai Wanghe selected Shenzhen Kioskian Technology Co., Ltd. due to our large-scale manufacturing capabilities, strict adherence to ISO9000 and ISO14000 standards, and strong track record in research and development. Our competitive pricing, combined with our highly experienced engineering team, positioned us as the ideal partner for this project.

2. The Collaborative Development: Tailored to Local Needs

The project involved the development of large-scale self-service government kiosks, specifically designed to meet the needs of Indonesian citizens. The Indonesian government required a multifunctional machine capable of handling various tasks, including Indonesian citizen ID card scanning, fingerprint recognition, QR code scanning, facial recognition, bank card reading, high-resolution document scanning, and more. Some specialized peripherals, such as Indonesian citizen ID card readers, were sourced locally by the client in Indonesia, while other peripheral components were procured from China.

This was an ODM & OEM project, where the Indonesian client provided the design concept, system requirements, and certain key components, while the application software was jointly developed by the Indonesian client and the Indonesian government. Shenzhen Kioskian Technology Co., Ltd. was responsible for the design and development of the kiosk’s appearance, mechanical structure, peripheral selection, peripheral driver software, electrical circuitry, and specialized circuit software and hardware, as well as the entire manufacturing and testing process.

Throughout the collaboration, Indonesian engineers visited our Shenzhen factory to oversee critical aspects of the project, including finalizing color schemes, approving the overall product design, and conducting final acceptance testing. This ensured that the product met their high standards and expectations.

3. Providing a Seamless Solution: A Smart Self-Service Kiosk

The self-service kiosks provide a comprehensive solution for Indonesian citizens, enabling them to independently complete various government services.

Key Features:

· All-in-One Functionality: A single terminal handles all government services, avoiding the need for multiple visits.

· Multiple Identification Systems: Equipped with facial recognition, ID card scanning, and fingerprint recognition, ensuring fast, secure, and efficient processing.

· User-Friendly Interface: Designed with simplicity in mind, the kiosks offer step-by-step guidance, making them accessible to users of all technical backgrounds.

These self-service kiosks are not only reliable but also low-maintenance, making them highly appealing to both users and government offices. Built for durability and long-term operation, they are designed to minimize malfunctions and provide a seamless service experience.

4. The Successful Outcome: Transforming Government Service Efficiency

Shenzhen Kioskian Technology Co., Ltd. successfully delivered 300 self-service kiosks to Indonesia, with immediate results:

· Faster Service: The kiosks empower Indonesian citizens to complete government services independently, reducing wait times and minimizing the need for manual processing.

· Optimized Workflow: Citizens can select services on demand, ensuring a more efficient process without long queues.

· Positive Market Response: The kiosks received highly favorable feedback for their ease of use, robust functionality, and minimal maintenance, attracting significant interest from other government departments.

5. Building a Long-Term Partnership: Establishing Ties with Local Indonesian System Integrators

The successful completion of this project has strengthened the partnership between Shenzhen Kioskian Technology Co., Ltd. and local Indonesian system integrators,, paving the way for future collaborations in self-service kiosks and government services.

Throughout the development process, the Indonesian client’s team worked closely with us to ensure that the final product met their specific needs. This collaboration enhanced our ability to deliver customized solutions and opened new opportunities for future projects in the region.
